~ Hi hi, lovelies!
I hope everyone's had a nice relaxing holiday and a very happy New Year!
This year's already turning into a very exciting one filled with lots of spectacular new surprises and happy coincidences.
For me, one of these exciting happenings is that I've been invited to participate in the 'Places Charity Artbook'!
Places-AB
Places Charity Artbook
The artbook will be released sometime in May/June,
but if you guys are as excited about it as I am, you can pre-order your book here:

I'm super excited (albeit a little nervous, but it's a good kind of nervous) about drawing a picture for the artbook's overarching theme of "the places that inspire us." Haha, there are so many places on Earth that inspire me though, I had a really hard time deciding on just one. But I finally found one to draw, and I'll do my best to make it a really awesome art piece for the book (you guys will get to see a preview of it sometime in April). I'm very much looking forward to seeing what everyone else will draw for their places as well! Everyone involved is such an amazingly skilled artist, each with their own uniquely creative art style. And so many of them are artists whose works I greatly admire and adore!
Right now in the project, everyone's thinking of the different places that personally inspire them. And they're such creative ideas of places too!
As each person brings forth a new idea of a new place, I can totally imagine the artbook being filled up with one more shining page of the beautiful places we have here on Earth.
Some people are still deciding, but you can take a sneak peek at what everyone's planning to draw in this journal here: Complete Artist's List

All of this has been a very wonderful surprise for me. And it was such a happy coincidence too, as just the other week, Himechui and I were just discussing this very subject of how to make an artbook during one of her livestreams. I've always entertained the idea of creating my own artbook and/or participating in one of DA's Charity Artbook projects, but it was a goal I thought would only happen in the very, very distant future. But here I am now, actually having the chance to participate in one so soon! It's like a New Year's wish come true, and it's so exciting to realize that I've already arrived at one of the many places I've always wanted to go with my art.
And so to celebrate and start this brand new year off with something fun, I'd like to ask all of you...
Where do you want to go with your art this year?
You guys are all so wonderfully skilled and talented, so what's the next step for you? What is it that you would love to accomplish this year with your art?
Do you plan to improve your lighting or anatomy? Maybe add some architectural elements to your drawings? Do you want to expand your technical knowledge, challenge yourself with a new style or color palette, or do you want to start adding more full-detailed backgrounds to your art? I know not everyone does drawing or painting, so I'd love to hear from all you lovely photographers and craftsman out there too!
~ Share with me if you like!
I'd love to hear what you guys are up to and where you plan to go in your adventures in art!
